Once your cake leaves our bakery, carrier delays due to weather, package volume, transit, and personnel issues may delay on-time delivery by FedEx.
Read our Shipping Policy prior to ordering. By ordering a shipped King Cake, you acknowledge that Brennan’s is not responsible for delivery delays.
The purchase price of your King Cake includes the cost of FedEx Standard Overnight Shipping where service is available in the continental US. Our shipping policy is designed to ensure that your King Cake arrives at its destination on time and in the best possible condition. Each King Cake ships separately to preserve the integrity of the cake. *Note – King Cakes are fragile, baked goods and may shift around in shipping.
King Cakes are shipped exclusively via FedEx Standard Overnight on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays for next day delivery Tuesday through Thursday. All cakes ship (without exception) the day before your selected delivery date.
- Friday and Saturday delivery is not available.
- FedEx does not deliver to PO or APO boxes nor to military bases.
- FedEx will leave packages at the door.
- Fedex Signature Required delivery service is not available.
If shipping to an apartment, condominium, dormitory, hotel, Hospital, or a similar complex, packages are often directed to a complex office or receiving department which could result in a delivery delay.
We recommend you let the recipient know they are to receive a package, so they can be proactive in procuring it. (No refunds are given due to delay).
You will receive an email with the tracking information as soon as the shipping label is created.
Please Note: Once a cake leaves our bakery, we are unable to make any changes to the order.
Missing Delivery Date On orders for Overnight Shipping
If a delivery date is not specified when you place your order, your cake will ship to arrive on the next available delivery date.
In the event of an anticipated severe weather event, Brennan’s reserves the right to delay the shipment of your king cake. In this case, Brennan’s will contact you with the information you provided with your order to provide an alternate delivery date or give you the option to cancel your order. If we cannot reach you within 24 hours, we will ship your cake on the next available shipping date.
Lost and Damaged Cakes:
Brennan’s and FedEx do everything possible to ensure your package ships and delivers as scheduled. Occasionally, peak volume service dates, Acts of God, COVID-19 considerations, inclement weather, inaccurate or incomplete shipping address information (i.e. wrong or missing apartment or suite number, wrong zip code, etc.), mechanical errors, and / or transit route delays, and other uncontrollable instances may result in a delivery delay.

Should Brennan’s be at fault for a delay in getting your cake to FedEx for shipment a day prior to your scheduled delivery date, we will contact you and at your option, ship you a new cake on the next available shipping day OR cancel your order and issue you a refund.
