The self-proclaimed ‘King of All Cakes’ this Carnival Season is inspired by World Famous Bananas Foster, invented at Brennan’s in the early 1950’s. It starts out with those familiar king cake dough flavors, rolled with cinnamon, brown sugar, and honey, all kissed with banana liqueur and vanilla extract. The entire cake is infused with a ripple of creamy, banana-flavored filling. The outside of the cake gets draped in even more decadence – a boozy icing, spiked with butter rum, brown sugar and condensed milk. Lastly, the cake is finished off with drizzled milk-chocolate and a sprinkle of crispy, golden chocolate croquants.
Each cake serves 12-16 slices.
